At 533 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from over Wildwood Estates to 8 miles northeast of Chino Valley, or extending from near Prescott to 8 miles northeast of Chino Valley, moving northwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated....

What the bulletin says to do

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

At 533 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from over Wildwood Estates to 8 miles northeast of Chino Valley, or extending from near Prescott to 8 miles northeast of Chino Valley, moving northwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Prescott, Chino Valley, Williamson Valley, Paulden, Wildwood Estates, Highland Pines, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Prescott Regional Airport, Prescott Rodeo Grounds, Downtown Prescott, Thumbe Butte, Willow Creek Reservoir, Iron Springs, Whipple and Granite Mountain Wilderness. This includes the following highways... State Route 69 near mile marker 296. State Route 89 between mile markers 311 and 314...and between mile markers 319 and 344. This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds... Yavapai Campground, Yavapai Campground, Alto Pit OHV, Cayuse Picnic Area, Acker Park and AC Williams Granite Creek Park.
