At 424 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Hwy S22 Between Ranchita And Borrego Springs, or 9 miles west of Borrego Springs, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Penny size hail. Local winds gusting to 40 mph is also possible. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Borrego Springs, Hwy 78 Between Banner And S2, Hwy 78 Between S2 And Borrego Springs Rd, Julian, Warner Springs, Lake Cuyamaca, Ranchita, Hwy 79 Between Warner Springs And Oak Grove, Hwy S22 Between Ranchita And Borrego Springs, Hwy 79 Between Julian And Lake Cuyamaca, Borrego Palm Canyon, Hwy S2 Between Hwy 79 And Hwy 78, Hwy 79 Between Santa Ysabel And Warner Springs, Hwy S2 Between Shelter Valley And Agua Caliente, Hwy S1 Between Lake Cuyamaca And Mount Laguna, Fish Creek Wash, Banner, Shelter Valley, Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, and Santa Ysabel Indian Reservation.
