At 118 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from over Big Sur Village to near Esalen Institute, or extending from over Big Sur Village to 11 miles northwest of Lucia, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Big Sur Village, Partington Ridge, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Esalen Institute, Pico Blanco Campground and Andrew Molera State Park.
