At 433 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northeast of Penrose, or 22 miles northwest of Pueblo, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, pea size hail and brief heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Penrose and open country of east central Fremont, southern El Paso and northwest Pueblo counties.
