At 252 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Ellicott, or 26 miles east of Colorado Springs, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, half inch hail, and torrential rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Heavy rainfall rates will cause ponding of water on paved roads and wash outs on rural roads. Quick rises of creeks, streams and normally dry washes will be possible. Locations impacted include... Truckton.
