At 620 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 15 miles southwest of Florence to near Crestone Peak to near Crestone. These storms were nearly stationary. HAZARD...Heavy rain, wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Crestone, Moffat, Great Sand Dunes, Crestone Peak, Silver Cliff, Westcliffe, Rosita and western portions of the Aspen Acres burn scar.
