At 658 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles southwest of Collbran, or 25 miles east of Grand Junction, moving southwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Skyway. This includes Colorado 65 between mile markers 24 and 49.
