At 701 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 8 miles west of Delta, or 24 miles northwest of Montrose, moving south at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Delta. This includes U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 53 and 71.
