At 1228 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles northeast of Seibert, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 55 mph, pea size hail and torrential rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of western Kit Carson County. This includes Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 402 and 419.
