This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stationand vorticity maximums s and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

At 416 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms 8 miles south of Vona, or 10 miles southeast of Seibert, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Kit Carson County. This includes Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 412 and 418.
