Bulletin details

At 217 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles north of Royal Gorge, or 33 miles southwest of Colorado Springs. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph, brief half inch hail and torrential rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Heavy rainfall could cause ponding of water on paved road surfaces, washouts on dirt roads, and quick runoff causing high flows in area creeks, streams and normally dry washouts. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Fremont County over the Wilson Creek centered around 10 miles north of Royal Gorge.
