At 642 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Walsenburg, or 38 miles south of Pueblo. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail and torrential rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Heavy rainfall could cause ponding of water on paved road surfaces, washouts on dirt roads, and quick runoff causing high flows in area creeks, streams and normally dry washouts.
