At 128 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over De Beque, or 22 miles northeast of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Parachute, De Beque, and Battlement Mesa. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Colorado near mile marker 53, and between mile markers 55 and 76. Colorado 65 between mile markers 54 and 57.
