At 403 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Parachute, or 37 miles northeast of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Parachute and Battlement Mesa. This includes Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 68 and 83.
