At 1108 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northwest of Fruita, or 16 miles northwest of Grand Junction, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Mack and Loma. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 9 and 16. Colorado 139 between mile markers 1 and 10.
