Prepare for sudden gusty winds. Secure loose objects and move to a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. If on area lakes, get out of the water. Sudden gusty winds will create higher waves and dangerous conditions for boaters and paddle boarders.

At 249 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of showers and thunderstorms extending from over Meeker Park to over Idaho Springs, or extending from 33 miles southwest of Fort Collins to 30 miles west of Denver, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Boulder, Longmont, southwestern Broomfield, Wheat Ridge, Lafayette, Golden, Louisville, Erie, Superior, Lyons, Idaho Springs, Nederland, Georgetown, Central City, Empire and Jamestown.
