At 328 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near San Luis, or 27 miles southeast of San Luis Valley Airport, moving northwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locally heavy rainfall will cause rapid runoff with washouts possible on secondary roads, and ponding of water on paved road surfaces. Locations impacted include... San Luis, San Acacio, San Pablo, Sanchez Reservoir, and Chama.
