At 216 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Pikes Peak, or 9 miles southwest of Colorado Springs, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Southwestern Colorado Springs and Fort Carson.
