At 350 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles northeast of Penrose, or 17 miles south of Colorado Springs, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and brief heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Fort Carson and open country of southwest El Paso, east central Fremont and northern Pueblo counties.
