At 143 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northeast of Greenhorn Mountain, or 26 miles southwest of Pueblo, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph brief half inch hail, and torrential rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Heavy rainfall could cause rapid runoff with ponding of water on roadways and increased flows in creeks streams and normally dry washes. Locations impacted include... Rye and Colorado City.
