At 1030 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Mahopac to near Peekskill to near Haverstraw. Movement was northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Danbury, New City, Ossining, Peekskill, Haverstraw, Mahopac, Lake Carmel, Sherman, Brewster, Cold Spring, Newtown, Ridgefield, Bethel, Brookfield, and New Fairfield.
