At 810 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Amelia City, or 7 miles southwest of Fernandina Beach, moving south at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and excessive cloud-to-ground lightning. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring. Locations impacted include... Little Talbot Island, Mayport, Fort Caroline, and Talbot Island.
