At 607 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a landspout near Gainesville Airport, or 7 miles east of Gainesville, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Landspouts, wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph, excessive cloud-to-ground lightning, and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring. Locations impacted include... Melrose, Hawthorne, Melrose Landing, Orange Heights, Gainesville Airport, Lochloosa, and Grove Park.
