At 729 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles southwest of Needmore, or 12 miles northeast of Jasper, moving west at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Columbia, northeastern Hamilton and southeastern Echols Counties.
