At 258 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds and waterspouts over marine areas along a line extending from near Gonzalez to 5 miles north of Navarre. Movement was south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated....

What the bulletin says to do

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. If on or near areas of water, get out and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

At 258 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds and waterspouts over marine areas along a line extending from near Gonzalez to 5 miles north of Navarre. Movement was south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous waters. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, West Pensacola, Ensley, Warrington, Gonzalez, Pace, Milton, Gulf Breeze, Goulding, Bagdad, Myrtle Grove, Oriole Beach, Navarre, Molino, Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, Pea Ridge, and Floridatown.
