What the bulletin says to do

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Conditions are favorable for the development of weak, brief funnel clouds. This type of funnel cloud is harmless, but on rare occasions they can briefly touch down, producing wind gusts over 50 mph. If a funnel cloud is spotted move indoors and report your sighting to the National Weather Service. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

At 529 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Saint Augustine Beach, or near Saint Augustine, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph, nickel size hail, excessive cloud-to-ground lightning, and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is possible. Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring. Locations impacted include... Palm Coast, Saint Augustine, Flagler Beach, Bunnell, Saint Augustine Beach, Marineland, Crescent Beach, Saint Augustine Shores, Butler Beach, and Saint Augustine South.
