These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the storm passes. Persons participating in outdoor activities should seek sturdy shelter until this storm passes. Open shelters found in parks, beaches, or golf courses offer no protection from the dangers of lightning.

At 257 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking a strong thunderstorm capable of producing a funnel cloud over Intersection Krome And Kendall Drive, or 10 miles west of Kendall, moving northeast at 5 mph. HAZARD...Funnel clouds and wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Funnel clouds occasionally touch down and produce tornadoes or waterspouts. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... The Redland, Kendall, Pinecrest, Sweetwater, Richmond West, Richmond Heights, Kendale Lakes, Country Walk, Zoo Miami, The Hammocks, West Perrine, West Kendall, Intersection Krome And Kendall Drive, Miccosukee Resort, Sunset, The Crossings, Tamiami, University Park, Palmetto Bay, and Olympia Heights.
