At 243 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles east of Bartow to 6 miles south of Lake Wales to 9 miles northeast of Wauchula. Movement was northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Winter Haven, Haines City, Bartow, Lake Wales, Poinciana, Crooked Lake Park, Dundee, Frostproof, Eagle Lake, Lake Hamilton, Hillcrest Heights, Highland Park, Alturas, Cypress Gardens, Lake Wales Municipal Airport, Babson Park, Bartow Municipal Airport, Wahneta, and Waverly.
