At 619 AM EDT, heavy rain was centered over Lakewood Park, or near Atlanta... and was nearly stationary. HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind and enhanced risk for downed trees. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of light, unsecured objects is expected. Trees can also down more easily with already wet soil from previous rainfall. Locations impacted include... Atlanta, Decatur, Peachtree Corners, City of South Fulton, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Dunwoody, East Point, Duluth, Forest Park, Riverdale, College Park, Lilburn, Chamblee, Norcross, Doraville, Clarkston, Morrow, Hapeville, and Stone Mountain.
