Bulletin details

At 505 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 13 miles east of Franklin, or near Cashiers, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Highlands, Cashiers, Salem, Lake Glenville, Jocassee Gorges, Lake Jocassee, Devils Fork State Park, Gorges State Park, Keowee Toxaway State Park, and Lake Toxaway. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for western North Carolina.
