At 631 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles southeast of Sylva to 10 miles north of Clayton to 9 miles southeast of Hiawassee. Movement was east at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Clayton, Franklin, Cullowhee, Highlands, Mountain City, Dillard, Sky Valley, Cashiers, Lake Glenville, and B.R. Parkway-Black Balsam To Mount Pisgah.
