At 700 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Glendale, or near Augusta, moving southeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... North Augusta, Augusta, Clearwater, Belvedere, Glendale, South Augusta, Midtown, Summerville, Augusta Mall, Daniel Field, McBean, Augusta Regional Airport, Augusta National Golf Club, Burnettown, West End Augusta, New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam Park, Glenn Hills, Westover Memorial Park, Westover, and Kroc Center. This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 197 and 201. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 4. Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 15. Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 21.
