At 419 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 11 miles northeast of Union Slogh to 9 miles west of Britt to 4 miles northeast of Dakota City. Movement was east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. The Algona Airport recently recorded a 35 mph wind gust with a personal weather station north of Algona recording a 46 mph wind gust. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Mason City, Hampton, Forest City, Garner, Clarion, Northwood, Belmond, Lake Mills, Britt, Nora Springs, Manly, Sheffield, Rockwell, Emmons, Elm Lake, Clear Lake, Eagle Lake, Mason City Municipal Airport, Rice Lake, and Ventura. This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 164 and 218.
