If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 1107 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near New Windsor to near St. Augustine. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Galesburg, Canton, Abingdon, Knoxville, Farmington, Wataga, Avon, Oneida, Yates City, Williamsfield, Altona, Fairview, London Mills, Victoria, Maquon, Henderson, Rio, St. Augustine, East Galesburg, and Norris. This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 35 and 68. This also includes Snakeden Hollow State Fish and Wildlife Area.
