At 624 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Paxton to near Atwood. Movement was east at 60 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Champaign, Urbana, Danville, Rantoul, Monticello, Hoopeston, Savoy, Mahomet, St. Joseph, Georgetown, Tolono, Westville, Tilton, Catlin, Fisher, Bement, Oakwood, Philo, Rossville, and Sidney. This includes the following highways... Interstate 57 between mile markers 219 and 257. Interstate 72 between mile markers 162 and 182. Interstate 74 between mile markers 162 and 219. This also includes Harry Babe Woodyard State Natural Area, Kickapoo State Recreation Area, and Middle Fork State Fish and Wildlife Area.
