At 402 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms extending from 6 miles south of Dongola to 5 miles east of Benton, or extending from 14 miles southeast of Anna to 5 miles east of Benton, moving east at 20 mph. Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Paducah, Metropolis, Benton, Calvert City, La Center, Reidland, Lone Oak, Hillman Ferry Campground, Demumbers Bay Campground, Birmingham Ferry Recreation Area, Land Between The Lakes Area, Woodlands Nature Station, Energy Lake Campground, Brookport, Ledbetter, West Paducah, Barkley Regional Airport, Lovelaceville, Grand Rivers and Kevil.
