At 535 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Stanford, or 13 miles west of Normal, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Bloomington, Normal, Le Roy, Mackinaw, Minier, Danvers, Downs, Stanford, Ellsworth, Holder, Moraine View State Park, Shirley, and Central Illinois Regional Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 1. Interstate 55 between mile markers 150 and 165. Interstate 74 between mile markers 123 and 153. This also includes Moraine View State Park and Mackinaw River State Fish and Wildlife Area.
