If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for north central and northwestern Illinois.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Kewanee, Princeton, Aledo, Cambridge, Hennepin, Geneseo, Spring Valley, Galva, Burgess, Orion, DePue, Walnut, Ladd, Wyanet, Atkinson, Viola, Sheffield, Annawan, Tiskilwa, and Woodhull. This includes the following highways... Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 16 and 72. Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 16 and 33. Interstate 180 between mile markers 1 and 13.
