If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT/900 PM CDT/ for south central Indiana...and central Kentucky.

At 815 PM EDT/715 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles east of Santa Claus to 16 miles north of Hardinsburg to 7 miles northeast of Brandenburg. Movement was southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Tell City, Brandenburg, Webster, Cannelton, Irvington, Leopold, Troy, Ekron, Mauckport, and Alton.
