At 740 PM MDT/840 PM CDT/, the public reported a cluster of strong thunderstorms 10 miles south of Benkelman, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Public. At 733 MT / 833 CT, a public weather station 1 mile south-southeast of St. Francis, Kansas reported a 53 mph wind gust. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of Cheyenne, northwestern Thomas, western Rawlins and northern Sherman Counties in northwestern Kansas, including the following locations... Wheeler.
