At 304 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Monument, or 10 miles southwest of Oakley, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 55 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Thomas and northeastern Logan Counties. This includes Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 74 and 75.
