If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT/800 PM CDT/ for central Kentucky.

At 529 PM EDT/429 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles north of Leitchfield, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Leitchfield, Clarkson, Constantine, Se Ree, Saint Paul, Eastview, Buras, Solway, Tar Hill, and Pierce Mill.
