Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 912 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 8 miles south of Brooksville to near Carlisle to near Winchester. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Mount Sterling, Flemingsburg, Sharpsburg, Fairview, Pecks Ridge, Reynoldsville, Sideview, Flat Creek, Stepstone, Pebble, Gatewoods Station, Prewitt, Bethel, Stoops, Ewington, Judy, Grassy Lick, Howards Mill, Wades Mill, and Nepton. THIS INCLUDES Interstate 64 in eastern Kentucky between mile markers 105 and 117.
