At 343 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Majestic to Kimper to Coal Run Village. Movement was southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Pikeville, Coal Run Village, Meta, Jamboree, Fishtrap Lake, Coal Run, Zebulon, Phyllis, Aluba, Betsy Layne, Ivel, Raccoon, Board Tree, Osborn, Woodman, Biggs, Mcandrews, Justell, Harold, and Phelps. THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS... U.S. Highway 119 in Pike County between mile markers 1 and 9. U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County between mile markers 1 and 7. U.S. Highway 23 in Pike County between mile markers 19 and 32.
