At 523 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Lettsworth to Prairie Ronde. Movement was southeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Opelousas, Ville Platte, Simmesport, Krotz Springs, Melville, Palmetto, Bayou Current, Morrow, Port Barre, Pine Prairie, Washington, Goudeau, Atchafalaya National Wildlife Refuge, Indian Lake, Chicot State Park, Whiteville, Big Cane, Dupont, Atchafalaya Welcome Center, and Grand Prairie. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 123 and 126. Interstate 49 between mile markers 21 and 46.
