At 627 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Grand Prairie, or near Ville Platte, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation and outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Ville Platte, Washington, Bayou Chicot, Whiteville, Indian Lake, Grand Prairie, Chicot State Park, and St. Landry. This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 27 and 45.
