At 649 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms capable of producing funnel clouds along a line extending from near Norco to near Montegut. Movement was south at 30 mph. HAZARD...Funnel clouds and winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...If a funnel cloud briefly touches down, minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Kenner, Cut Off, Larose, Hahnville, Laplace, Reserve, Galliano, Metairie, Lockport, Mathews, Montz, Chauvin, Luling, Boutte, Ama, Destrehan, Montegut, St. Rose, Killona, and Norco. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 204 and 225. Interstate 55 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 5. Interstate 310 between mile markers 1 and 11.
