At 630 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles north of Millinocket, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Millinocket, East Millinocket, Medway, southwestern Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, Grindstone, Benedicta, and Molunkus. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between mile markers 245 and 257. State Highway 11 near Grindstone.
