At 613 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles east of Miller, or 9 miles northeast of Mount Vernon, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Republic, Billings, Halltown, and Chesapeake. This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 50 and 68.
