What the bulletin says to do

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. If on or near marine areas, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

At 407 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Saucier to near D'iberville to near Hickory Hills. Movement was southwest at 15 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs, Long Beach, St. Martin, Gautier, D'iberville, Latimer, Lyman, Saucier, Gulf Hills, Vancleave, Gulf Park Estates, Hickory Hills, and Gulfport Airport. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Mississippi between mile markers 31 and 64. Interstate 110 in Mississippi between mile markers 1 and 4.
